Firstly, I am a sports enthusiast. The passion for sports, in particular for football and basketball, made me pursue a career in Data Science after completing a rather underwhelming degree in Economics at Freie Universität Berlin.
While studying for my Masters degree in Data Science at Barcelona Graduate School of Economics, I had the opportunity to work with the Sports(and Data)-Science department of F.C. Barcelona for my master thesis.
In those months two of my classmates and me developed approaches to analyse the ability of players in different aspects of the game.
After finishing my degree, I went on to work as Data Consultant for DAZN,
a sports broadcaster (OTT), trying to revolutionise how sports is consumed all over the world.
